In 2004, I transitioned from a successful career in the insurance industry to pursue my passion for art. At the age of 41, I enrolled at Robinwood Art School in Ayr, Scotland, under the guidance of renowned artist Joan Lawson.
Shortly after learning to paint, I discovered a new career path and established the Arran Art Gallery on the picturesque Scottish Island of Arran. Within a year of starting art classes, I transformed a DIY store in Whiting Bay into one of Scotland's top art galleries, showcasing the works of over 60 Scottish artists.
The freedom offered by a career in art allowed me to fulfil my dream of living in warmer climates. I split my time between Australia, where I set up Zenith Art and Design to obtain a working visa and permanent resident status, and Scotland.
Over the past two decades, I have primarily focused on meeting the demand for my original artworks through the Arran Art Gallery, with sales in Australia taking a back seat. However, I am currently preparing for a solo exhibition at the Hunter Wetland Centre in Newcastle, NSW, where I will showcase abstracts, abstracted landscapes on glass, and paintings of birds.
Throughout my artistic journey, I have found immense fulfilment and continue to divide my time between these two beautiful countries.
